Well, how about that! We have a peace agreement. Of course, Milo, baby, has gotten rid of the Albanians and still has everything else he wanted. Now he says he wants peace. Are we stupid enough to believe that he will allow the Albanians to come back in? Probably. Clinton is such an ass.
Work is a little off kilter as meetings seem to proliferate and we are spiraling into year end which is always a frantic time, even when the workload doesn't get overwhelming. It's hard to get back into work when there are two days missing out of the week. It'll be nice to see Saturday and sleep in and mess around the house.
I've been thinking about rhythm and how much we depend on it. The different rhythms are what make travel so exciting and interesting and yet so tiring. It's always such a relief to get back home and relax into familiar rhythms. My children run to different rhythms than I do, even though we are all three a "get on with it type" when something needs to be done, we still have differences in our rhythms.
When I'm with my daughter-in-law and her family there is quite a bit of difference as they are on a much more relaxed rhythm. Sometimes it drives me crazy as I like to be everywhere on time and get everything done on time and they seem to never get anything done, but then it's done. I admire how they seem to so easily meet and make friends and can talk with anyone, while I can't always even think of things to say to my own family.
Some people seem to run to a jittery rhythm and others to a haphazard rhythm. On top of the rhythm is the culture they run in whether yuppie or traditional or new age or whatever, but underneath it all is the rhythm that they do things in.
