Saturday, November 9, 2002Blood and GPSIt was sunny this morning but clouds were piling up on the edge. We were suppose to get rain today but it ended up very sunny and clear. It's in the high 70s during the day now and is wonderful weather. I first went down to the Red Cross to donate blood and why iron was good (40) and my pulse was good (66) and my blood pressure was good (125/70). I'm still trying to figure out what to eat but less carbs and more protein seems to be good for me, even lots of eggs. I can't go the Atkins diet but I east less carbs than the Zone diet. I then went to work for 3 1/2 hours. What a bummer on a beautiful saturday and on a three day weekend. I thought I would get lots done but didn't have access to part of what I needed and the queries were going so slow. I was bummed. I spent the rest of the day looking at GPS units. I've been reading about letterboxing and that led me into geocaching, both of which sound great so I want a GPS unit. I want one with maps and all the bells and whistles but will probably get a basic one. Now I need to make a stamp and can't quite figure out what I want. Maybe a play on silver_ra like RA with silver ink. Hmm! I'll have to see how that works out.
