Rain

Rain Green -

The light faded gold and green.
The green of rain.
The green gold of rain.
Sun shining through rain till
The lightning came and brought silver and gray.

Yesterday I finally saw the rain. It was lovely, and tonight there was a storm with lightening. It's still like an oven but, hopefully, with some rain we'll be able to hike up high before summer is over.

I finished reading "The Dollmaker's Daughter" by Abigail Padgett. It started a bit ooey-wooey with a psychic dream but it was a good story about evil and how ignoring it causes more problems than it solves. The main character, Bo Bradley, is a manic-depressive on all kinds of meds who works for Child Protective Services. She's called in the middle of the night to help a teen who turns catatonic while at a goth night club. The book has interesting, if not eccentric, characters and a good storyline. I like it.
