A beautiful day

It was a beautiful day today. I forced myself out of bed at 8:30 in order to get to TABRU by 10:00. By the time I left to catch the bus it was already getting warm and stayed great all day. The sky to blue from end to end and the air was clear. So nice.

It was an interesting meeting. It seems our next activity will be demonstrating against the grade separated intersections that the city wants to make at several places so people who live 20 miles from work won't be slowed down. Of course it will destroy a few neighborhoods but since those that count don't live there, why should there. It will cost $20 million to build one grade separated intersection. And they say cars aren't subsidized.

Still I feel uneasy about demonstrating. I'm not a demonstrating kind of person. It's so so so out there. I like to do things quietly. I am just not good at this and I always feel that discussing things is a much better way to go. Oh dear.

I feel like I'm getting a cold which is so pathetic especially since I'm feeling better otherwise and have even lost a few pounds. I guess next year I'll get my flu shot.

I walked along the Rillito for bit. It's so dry and brown right now since we've had very little rain but we have a winter storm coming in so hopefully things will green up a little.
