I took advantage of a day with no meetings to clean junk off my desk. I got rid of a lot of stuff that needs to be done but keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the pile. I still seem to be getting more and more to do. Work seems to extend to fill the time and more.

There was a TABRU meeting this evening at 6:00. I rode my bike since I wanted to go to another meeting afterwards. I hate riding through downtown at rush hour and even near rush hour, so I came through the 4th Avenue tunnel and took a right onto Toole that goes over Broadway now. It swung me right into the Armory Park neighborhood. So quick and easy that I got there earlier than I expected. Next time I can take my time.

The second meeting was a forum that the university was having on civil rights within the context of the terrorism we've experienced. It was called Civil Rights and Terrorist Wrongs - A Campus Community Forum which I am interested in because I do not want to see our civil rights pushed aside in a war effort because then the terrorists will have won by eroding our freedom. Unfortunately, I got there and the meeting was rescheduled. A clump of other disgruntled people were gathered around the notice of the new date so we grumbled together.

This got me home earlier than I had expected and I noticed the library was still open. I went in to pick up a book I had on hold and gave them a flyer about TABRU to put on their bulletin board. I'll have to try all the libraries. I'm not real good at finding places to put notices, but the libraries would be a good place. They wouldn't let me just put down a clump of flyers for people to pickup and the manager will have to approve the flyer, but it's worth a try.
