Strike Time

Well, it looks like the buses stop at midnight. They always quit running by midnight, the few that are still running that late, but tomorrow they aren't going to start again. Actually there will be three schedules running, 4, 16 and 8, on a Sunday schedule. In other words, most of us will have to find another way to work. I can ride my bike but I enjoy walking to work so much I'll probably just walk both ways. It's going to be a little warm coming home but that's ok.

I went to a TABRU meeting tonight and caught the last 6 home. How sad. We're issuing a statement of support for the drivers but since there's only about a dozen of us so far I doubt that it's going to really shake up Suntrans. I feel good about doing something, thought. I enjoy transit so much a want to do what I can to improve it, and it's a real good deal for cities.

I'm going to take a shower and go to bed. That's the problem with doing anything in the evening. By the time I get home, by bus or by bike, it's too late to do much. How do people who are always gone in the evening ever unwind or just sit and stare at the wall. I don't go out much and still don't have time to do much wall staring, but sometimes it's necessary and I'm glad I have time to do it.
