Home sick

My back was bothering me this weekend and yesterday got worse. I thought I would be ok but this morning I could hardly straighten up. It doesn't seem to be in spasms so I'm just staying home and stretching it a lot. What's weird is that it hurts to the side of my lower back and usually my back goes out all across the lower back.

I watched several talk shows for lack of anything else to do. I'm talking about Today and Good Morning America and such, not Sally Jesse who I really dislike. She's such a vulture. She leans into show how much she cares as she draws out the most embarrassing facts and reactions she can. It makes me shudder just to think of her. She feeds on others pain and grief and needs.

One of the shows was discussing that the ads for the Green Party had to be explained to Ralph Nader because he never watched television. This man wants to represent us as our president but has no clue who we are. All he knows is what he thinks we should be and that scares me. People who only know what they want us to be tend to lack the perspective to treat people tolerantly.

I'm trying to be good and sit nice and straight and quiet except for doing some nice stretches but my back always seems to stiffen up when I just sit all day. It's almost better to be doing something. Walking is good and I did take a book back to the library but it's too hot to walk far and it starts hurting too much. I have an appointment to get my teeth cleaned tomorrow also but at least they just lie you down in a comfy lounge chair.

I did finally get the pictures up from the trip I took to the Grand Canyon last fall. I am so behind!
